Raye Rusler
Raye Rusler brings a wealth of personal experience and passion to her Pilates instruction. Raised in Orange County, California, she spent her youth immersed in active pursuits like swimming, water polo, and surfing. By 16, Raye had become a ocean lifeguard in Dana Point and South Laguna, where she learned the importance of maintaining a strong and adaptable body in ever-changing conditions .
In 2015, a fall left Raye with three bulging discs in her lumbar spine. Despite seeking various chiropractic treatments, it was Pilates at her Community College, Mira Costa, that truly helped her find relief and strength. This discovery sparked a deep passion for the method, finding that Pilates not only helped her recover but also provided lasting benefits for her overall mobility and wellness.
Raye’s educational journey led her to the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she earned a degree in World Religions in 2020. While in Hawaii, she worked as a manager at Banan for nearly five years, but it was through a friendly connection to Pilates O Ka La that Raye found her path to becoming an instructor. Inspired by the studio’s classical Pilates style and the exceptional quality of its instructors, Raye achieved her comprehensive classical Pilates certification in 2025 under Chelsea Peck at Pilates O Ka La.
As a Pilates instructor, Raye focuses on empowering her clients to move with strength, ease, and confidence. Her approach is rooted in her own healing journey and her belief that Pilates can transform both body and mind. Raye is dedicated to helping clients achieve functional movement patterns that enhance daily life, while preventing injury and building resilience. With a teaching style that emphasizes careful attention to detail and motivation, Raye creates a positive environment where her clients can thrive, feel challenged, and leave each session with a renewed sense of well-being.
