Katie Ziemann

Meet Katie

I grew up in Austin, Texas, and moved to Hawaii in 2014 doing project management. I stayed for the community. My path here has been a winding one but the common thread is a love for people, place, and protecting what matters.

I grew up running, tumbling, and doing stunts (gymnastics, competition cheer, track, and cross country), until chronic pain and a spondylolisthesis diagnosis meant rethinking how I move. That sent me on a healing journey discovering the incredible benefits of Hawaiian Lomilomi and Pilates. Classical Pilates gave me an effective method I can practice on my own, instead of needing someone else’s help to fix me.

As a late diagnosed neurodivergent and hyper-mobile middle aged woman who came to pilates to manage chronic pain - I understand every body is different. My focus is on building strength, stability, and awareness that fits your body.

Outside the studio you'll find me on the North Shore mowing and pulling weeds, otherwise known as farming, or singing/crying in my car on the commute between NS and town.

My motto: "I do Pilates so I can ______." For me, it's so I can go about my life doing the things I love like: getting out of the car or rearranging my furniture by myself, without throwing my back out. What's your blank? I'd love to help you fill it in!
